	Every year, The Elephant: Children’s Animated Film Programme at the Animateka -International Animated Film Festival brings to Slovenia a broad selection of selected animated films, mostly short but also feature-films from around the world. Film programmes are assembled according to the age groups of children and youth, and they are all accompanied by discussions about the films, led by our expert and media psychologist Martina Peštaj, while many films are accompanied by discussions with the authors of the animated films. Selected programmes of short animated films are also offered to schools throughout the year. School groups can view the films in the cinemas throughout Slovenia, while for those, more remote places, and schools outside the major cities, we offer the opportunity to view our film programme at their own school. Screenings of the films are always accompanied by discussions with our mentors, during which the children learn how animated films and optical toys are made. The Elephant Programme is also trying to promote the Slovenian animated film. Each year, at the Animateka - International Animated Film Festival we try to present the new production of the Slovenian authors.
